Follow this guide to start getting your deleted files back effortlessly from either an internal drive or external storage device.
Step 1. Select File Location
Launch RecoveryFox AI as administrator. On the home screen, choose the location where your data was lost and click on it to proceed.
Step 2. Start Scanning
Then, the software will begin scanning the selected location. Depending on factors including drive size or the number of files, this may take minutes or hours.
You can pause or stop during AI Scanning at any time if you want to preview the found files.
Step 3. Preview and Recover
To preview a file, simply right-click on it and select “Preview”.
Then, select any item you want—whether it's all found files, a specific type folder, a subfolder, or an individual file.
Click “Recover”, then choose a secure location to save your files. To prevent data overwriting, it's best to use an external USB drive or hard disk.
For Desktop and Recycle Bin deleted file recovery, the software will run a Quick Scan which usually completes within minutes and even shorter.
